كتب نزار قبّاني الكثير ممّا أغدقت به عليه وعلينا مملكة الشعر واللغة، وكان مخلصًا لنفسه، ولنفسه فقط، في كلّ ما كتب، فكان الشاعر الحرّ المتمكّن الغزير الإنتاج في أكثر من مضمار. بمناسبة مرور مئة عامٍ على ميلاده، نكرّم ذكراه بإصدار ثلاث مجموعات شعريّة من قصائده منتقاة بحسب الموضوع.
نستذكر في هذه المجموعة التي قدّم لها الشاعر اللبناني هنري زغيب، المدن التي سكنها نزار وسكنته. تلك التي أحبّها وأوجعته، تلك التي سالت حرقته حبرًا في عشقها، فكانت إمبراطوريّته التي لم ينتمِ يومًا إلّا لها، ولا قدّم ولاءه يومًا إلّا للعروبة التي تنضح من ترابها.
Nizar Qabbani wrote much of what the kingdom of poetry and language bestowed upon him and us, and he was faithful to himself, and to himself alone, in everything he wrote, becoming the free, accomplished, prolific poet in more than one field. On the occasion of the centenary of his birth, we honor his memory by publishing three poetry collections selected by theme. In this collection, introduced by Lebanese poet Henri Zoghaib, we recall the cities that Nizar inhabited and that inhabited him. Those he loved and that pained him, those whose passion flowed as ink in their love, becoming his empire to which he never belonged except to it, and never offered his loyalty except to the Arabism that exudes from its soil.
