Another great "I Can" book

I love the "I can" series of books. I was looking for some early skill books for my 2 1/2 year old and everything I had found so far was just too complicated and advanced. These books are just perfect. My daughter just turned 3 in January and we started the series in late November. We began with "I can Color", and "I can paste". Then we added "I can fold". Now, we're starting "I Can Trace" and "I can Draw", and starting very slowly in "I can cut". The nice thing is that if you need a little more repitition in a certain book before the next exercise, if you're working through some of the other books, there are activities from each of the other books in the back of each book. If it seems like an exercise in, say, the fold book is a little more tedious, I will pull a color page from the back of one of the other books that is an easier exercise. (There are usually at least two exercises from each of the other books in the back of each book. Since we have them all, we have quite a few duplicate exercises.) We have just started the "I can trace" book but so far I am very pleased. As with the other books, it progresses slowly through tracing different patterns and directions. (Left to right, right to left, arched line, down to up, zig zag, easy "maze" etc.) As all the other books, It is very colorful and engaging for a distracted toddler. My one and only complaint: The "Color" book is printed on matte-finish paper. I figured since the trace books needs to use markers or crayons it would be printed on matte paper too, but it was printed on glossy paper (like the paste book). It just takes a little longer for markers to dry on the page. It is a bit of a frusteration but the quality of the book is worth it.

Bought this for my son who is 2. He's not quite ready for this book, like he was for some of the others, but I know he'll eventually learn from it.
