A Great Book for Cooks of ALL levels

This is a beautiful book with a great layout, and most importantly, elegant yet "do-able" recipes. The recipes are clear and easy to understand. This book has a variety of recipes, with interesting variations of those "tried and true homestyle favorites" (ex. cream of mushroom soup with rice, old fashioned pot roast with roast potatoes and carrots) that your family will love you for, to those "wow your guest" elegant recipes (ex. Pasta Gourmet, Roast Pork Tenderloin).My husband is a huge fan of all of the soups from this book. The soups are especially delicious. He loves the Tortilla Soup, Southwestern Corn Chowder, Beer Cheese, etc. I know that I can always make him happy in the wintertime by making one of Rosemary's delicious soups!! In addition, Rosemary gives great tips regarding menu suggestions and kitchen organization. I have many cookbooks and I always go back to this one. In addition, this book makes a great hostess gift. Also great as a wedding shower gift. I hope to see more books from Rosemary Brown.

The best basic cookbook I have ever owned!

This cookbook has helpful information on menu planning, shopping, kitchen organization, and delicious recipes. It may not be for the snobby gourmet types, but for those of us who wish to put good, healthy meals on the table for our families, and must do it day in and day out and still have a life outside the kitchen, this book is a great, one spot place to find recipes to do it with. I already own it, and I am purchasing a copy for my daughter. It would make a great wedding or bridal shower gift!

Big Kitchen Instruction Book

This has to be the ultimate kitchen reference book. From organizing/layout, tools and their use, foods and how to cook/serve/store, through conversion/substitutions this book has it all. The recipes are practicle and delicious. Specific information is found easily and explained well. No need to call Mom when you can refer to this book. I am giving these as wedding gifts and maybe one for my Mom. Anyone can enjoy this book.
