A man with his dog

Everyone thought he was dead. “Not Hardly.” John Wayne and his dog make a classic Wayne entrance as Jacob McCandles, one of the last indestructible cowboys. When bad people who misjudge their advantage ransom his son, Jake is summoned to retrieve him. The family reunites to accomplish the task, and they must learn to cooperate with one another and, in the process, become a close-knit family again. Even though this follows the typical Wayne formula, there are plenty of surprises and lots of action. My favorite bad guy is my favorite good guy from television, Richard Boone; you may remember him as Paladin.
