Great book for girly girls, with one problem...

First, an FYI, the picture shown for this book is not correct at the time of this review. The picture is of "Fairy Things to Make and Do" which is NOT the same book. This is great book with a wide variety of fairy themed art & craft ideas. All them have a very nice whimsical feel. Expect to spend time helping your child with most of the activities, unless you have an child who is 8 or older AND a large supply of craft materials that are accessible to them. I doubt my 6 year old could do any of these activities independently, and she is VERY artsy. Some supplies needed: construction paper, tin foil, tissue paper, paint, watercolors, colored straws, beads The one problem is the lack of supplies list. When you go to start a project you have to read over every step and gather everything before you start. If the author added a list of supplies needed at the beginning of each project the book would be perfect.

Great for creative girls (and moms) who need a little inspiration.

I love all the Usborne activity books - especially this one- they are full of creative, unique, and fun projects that look good and are fun to play with when finished. My daughters group of friends had a blast making projects from this book. Keep in mind though that you do need to be a little creative yourself as the book gives instructions but not templates. Younger girls(7-9) will need their moms to make the templates for them to copy and a little help. Great for birthday party projects or girls groups like Little Flowers Girls Club.
