If You Need a Reason to Cycle

This is not the book to give you detailed descriptions of the bike rides it covers. Instead, it describes a variety of cycling holidays in diverse locations that will inspires you to consider riding in locations you may never have considered. Whether you are looking for an easy cruise or a more challenging ride in a remote location, there will be something in this book to whet your appetite. If you are thinking of a cycling holiday, this book may well make up your mind.

interesting variety

An amazing variety of possible bike journeys. Most parts of the world are covered. Lovely pictures, as well. My one objection is that writer's style is not personal enough, it's not clear whether Rob Penn actually biked any of these journeys.

Showcases twenty-five remarkably impressive bicycling trails

Bicycling: Along The World's Most Exceptional Routes showcases twenty-five remarkably impressive, "off the common trail" bicycling trails and destinations around the world. Enhanced with one hundred superb color photography throughout, Bicycling is part travel guide, part nuts-and-bolts biking guide. The showcased bicycling routes range from the quiet lanes of the Loire Valley , to back country excursions in the Rocky Mountains, to the banks of the Zanskar River winding down through four massive Himalayan passes. Bicycling is an international inspiration for dedicated cyclists, and ideal for armchair travelers, Bicycling is especially recommended for community library collections.
