This author offers advice that does not align with the American Kennel Club. Some of the things he says align with the good things I have read elsewhere, but others seem cruel. For example, he recommends negative discipline measures and thinks that housing the Bichon in a crate is wrong. The Bichon on the cover appears to have rust stains around his eyes and mouth, which happens when the eyes are not wiped clean every day. When the eyes are not wiped clean, the tears stain its white coat, which is an indication that the dog is not being well groomed.
