Very poor for a "bible scholar"

I've read through James Ussher's Annals of the World and Dr Floyd Jones A Chronology of the Old Testament, and Bruce is far off the mark in early Biblical history... in fact, a lot of the information he states as "I suppose" was in direct conflict with the Old Testament itself. I was very disappointed in this effort and a bit embarrassed that several other Bible scholars thought this atlas was factual, when in fact, he strays from the Bible itself. Some of his information after Moses is more in line with the Bible, but I have a difficult time believing Bruce until I go back to my other resources to see if it actually matches up.
