A great little reference book

This book isn't intended to be read cover to cover. It's a reference tool to be used to get a very basic framework of each book of the Bible. There are sections containing a summary of the Books of the Law, The Books of History, The Books of Wisdom, etc. Each book is given a short summary including a key word, a key chapter, and key verses, as well as notes on the historical setting of the book, the book's main theological contribution, and sometimes a very clarifying "special consideration". A basic outline of the book and a chart put the facts in a more visual form. Overall, a very helpful book to provide a background and context for whatever it is you're reading in the Bible.
