The Ocean Waves Tiki Bar in Fort Lauderdale is surrounded by a cast of characters--salty locals and tourists from around the world. Doctor Bee just bought the house another round. The Captain is spilling another story of his younger days with Marilyn Monroe. Sun worshippers glisten on the beach as boats anchor just off shore; their occupants swim in to sip on margaritas and rum runners and soak up the atmosphere. The bartender looks delicious in her bikini top, and land sharks are starting to circle. It's another day in paradise at the Ocean Waves. But how in the world will shy, introverted Tim ever get a shot at that good-looking bartender? It will take a miracle, or at least an act of God, like a hurricane, to get them together, and advice from the Captain, with a story or two about Marilyn Monroe to help him understand women, and a friend like Dan Poe, to lean on, to cry on his shoulder, and to teach him about love and loss.
