A must read!

This is a great book! I found it's content to be informative and accurate. Being a teacher of meditation and visualization techniques, I see how this book was well researched and carefully organized so as to ensure the reader benefits from its intended message and opportunity. Indeed this book covers the needed territory to gain insight and value from knowing something about your previous incarnations and how you are living your life currently. Do read this book if you are at all interested to know about how you are who you are today.

Beyond Reincarnation

I have studied reincarnation for several decades and used a variety of tools to attain past life information, so the subject of this book is not new to me. However, I think this book would offer something both to the novice on the subject of reincarnation as well as the veteran on the subject. For the novice it provides adequate background, great experiences to draw the subject into your own life, practical advice to find information about your own past lives (as well as astral projection and contacting the spirit world), and great summaries at the end of each section. For the veteran on the subject of reincarnation it offers another tool to past life regression that works wonderfully. I was able to use this method extremely well and even adopted part of Dr. Slate's `Past Life Corridor' into my own practices. After all these years of exploring reincarnation myself, it never came to my mind to explore life-between-life existence. What did I do between lives? Now I can explore this as well. I loved his sharing of personal experiences that brought everything he talked about to life and gave me a new perspective in viewing reincarnation. He related reincarnation to both the spirit realm and astral projection, which are two other areas he touches upon in his book. The only two things I could find fault with in the book was that the beginning ran a bit slow and was somewhat redundant for me and I wanted more information about his technical reports. The fact that the book ran a bit slow at the beginning, I attribute mostly to the fact of being into the soup for so long. Many of these philosophies in the mind-body-spirit section had already been explored. The other thought that I noted as I read Dr. Slate's comments on his experiments was that I wanted more information about them. Dr. Slate does list in the back of the book his technical reports and the dates the experiments were performed; however I wanted to know how to access them. For instance, I was curious about how many people were involved in his experiments, the exact percentage that reacted this or that way, where they lived, what careers they had, how old they were, etc. It is obvious Dr. Slate has worked with a large variety of ages and occupations from the personal stories he relates, so the details of the experiments became something you wanted even more information about. It was just that inquiring minds want to know. In conclusion, I must say there were sufficient points of interest even in the first section that I continued to read the book. In fact I finished this book in one day, especially drawn in by the detailed practical explanation of how to do past life regression on my own. I couldn't put the book down when it came to the personal life stories of Dr. Slate's family life and his experiences with friends, students, and colleagues. [now called International Parapsychology Research Institute] does exist, as I've been a member for years [not finding something on the Internet doesn't preclude its existence, as stated by a previous reviewer]. Dr. Slate's book is an excellent primer for anyone just starting to research reincarnation for themselves. There are many books on reincarnation out there, but there may not be many that are as readable, informative, and enjoyable as this. It's a "must" for the genre.

A wonderful addition to reincarnation literature!

This is Dr. Joe Slate's most personable and accessible work ever. The accounts and experiences he uses to illustrate the value of researching our past lives are thought provoking and demonstrate the ability we all have within to heal and empower ourselves. His approach is different from other reincarnation studies, in that he advocates self-hypnosis to prevent the high cost of hypnotists and regressionists and also bias on the part of the hypnotist. I have been regressed by professionals but never felt as if I were "there" the way I felt when using the exercises in Reincarnation and Beyond. I found the technique very easy to employ and have not only ventured into my past lives, but have used the exercise to connect with spirit guides and loved ones on the Other Side. In all, this fascinating and highly positive book provides us with the ability to enrich, empower, and enjoy our past, present, and future lives - this time around.

The Great Beyond

After Having read Dr. Slate's book on Aura Energy for Health a few years ago, I decided to check out his latest book on Reincarnation. The book has alot of information and many good stories depicting some of his personal experences with the paranormal as a child growing up in rural Alabama. I also found the writings on Past Life Regression while hypnotized some what appealing if you dig these sort of topics. I hope others will enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed other writings by Dr.Slate.
