As a child, Paige Kincaid was always told that her imagination was beyond anyone's understanding. There were things that the world and its people would never accept, allow, and be deemed normal. Caught between her parent's faith in God and man's belief in science, Paige was later diagnosed with Schizophreniform, a type of psychosis in which one cannot tell the difference between what is real and imagined. Later into adulthood, she continuously struggles with trying to live normally, but not only is she haunted by those that wander, Paige's personal battle is: suppressing her diagnosis and denying her gift.
After being visited by a wandering spirit who demands her help, Paige realizes the difference in one's calling and one's destiny. This journey leads her to a historical bed and breakfast in a beautiful, deep south area called Isle of Hope, Savannah, Georgia where generational traditions, practices, and southern hospitality reign. But also where some of the most clandestine, macabre, and unholy things are buried deep. With Paige's arrival, those said things no longer want to stay buried, they're reaching from the grave. Paige's time in Isle of Hope brings the opposite of its given name and she learns that this gift was never about real and imaginary, it's about the collision of the natural world and the supernatural world. More importantly, Paige's calling is about keeping the balance between both.
