A winter-warm, closed-door love story set at -30 C.
In a snowbound northern town, grocery store operator Claire Jensen works morning and evening shifts at Northside Market. New-in-town warehouse production operator Wes Archer lives in company barracks and keeps stopping by the store-not to chase, but to feel less alone.
At first, Claire is cautious. Clear boundaries-and small, practical kindnesses-turn cautious chats into friendship: shovel swaps, porch-drop errands for an elder, and a storm morning when the market becomes a hearth. With rotating shifts (his mornings/afternoons/nights; her mornings/evenings), they build a simple routine-"words, not vibes"-and choose each other on purpose.
