Helen Sadler is worried when psychic-medium Nick Keller leaves the filming location heading off to be alone. Bombarded by texts from paranormal investigator Scott Miller, who has turned up on his crutches, Helen is feeling the stress of being part of the film crew. As soon as the immediate location is completed, she leaves heading off to Cornwall for a few days to rest and recover.
The sleepy town she stops at is shrouded by a thick fog, soon chatter from the locals reaches her, talk of pirates appearing in the middle of the road or at the local inn are rife. The town boasts tunnels from caves hidden down in the cove, and of beer-shops beneath some of the buildings, Helen's nightmares are becoming clearer and trying to find a little peace she heads off for a walk through the fog. As the temperature drops, Helen seeks warmth at the inn on the clifftop and bumps into someone unexpected.
