Commander U.S. Naval Reserve, chief pilot Gannett Newspapers, Past President of the Early Birds, an inductee of the OX-5 club Aviation Hall of Fame - and a friend of many of the other great aviation figures such as Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, and Eddie Rickenbacker.
