Why in the world don't they reprint this book?!

Even though this cookbook was printed in 1984 it is timeless. It truly is one of the cookbooks I've used over and over again. There is always something in it for every occasion. The cookbook is divided into sections with suggested menus, decorations, table layout, etc. There is Father's Day, Bridal Shower, Mother's Day, Weekend Buffet, and the list goes on and on. All of the pictures are in color and very elegant and still quite appropriate even 20 some years later. I love this cookbook. My book is falling apart from use and I'll have to buy another one soon. I can't imagine why BH & G doesn't just reprint this book?! Definitely a worthwhile investment.

A wonderful cookbook and entertaining guide

Author of the romantic historical, The Rebel's Pledge.I've had this cookbook for fifteen years and use it often. It contains sixty-seven kitchen tested menus for any occasion, from breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners, from the casual to the elegant. I really have enjoyed using the menus for special holidays, from an after caroling late supper, to a baby shower luncheon. The recipes are easy and fun to make. I will never part with my buffet book!
