LOVED IT!

I LOVED this book! It was ADDICTING!! Annie is a great character in this book and her story is cool. I LOVED the way the book ended, I thought that it was the perfect line. At the end of a lot of the chapters I just screamed because I wanted to get in the book and slap some sense into them, but then I realized that this is what makes a book good, when you feel like you are really in the story and you actually feel for the characters. This book is AMAZING and I recommend it to everyone. It is a great read, I hope you like it as much as me.

Wonderful and witty

This is the second book I have read by Jane Mendle and, as with her first book (Kissing in Technicolor), Better Off Famous is a wonderful and enjoyable read. Jane's writing is witty and smart. Annie is the girl next door (or should we say geek next door) who is suddently thrust into the limelight - a character to which almost any young girl struggling to find her identity can relate. A great read - especially for those who have or are growing up in New York City!

Better off after reading!

I loved BETTER OFF FAMOUS. Mendle crafted a fun, glitzy world of a teen TV star and her authentic behind the scenes look at TV production was fascinating. Her main character, Annie, is one I hope Mendle revisits with a sequel.

Fantastic and fun read!

Jane Mendle's newest book is great! The characters are lively and fun without turning into the cliches so often found in teen novels. Excellent read!!! Five stars!!!

A great read - no cliches

Mendle brings the fun teen novel to new highs. It's a compelling read, pulls the audience along, but doesn't pander. An easy, but intelligent read, and an insightful take on teen angst.
