Great insight into...... Gambling at the track!

I bought this book when it first came out but someone ripped it off from me at the track when I wasn't looking. So good and helpful that I wanted another copy but didn't have the cash at the time to buy one at full price from The Morning Telegraph, as it used to be called. Now it's just the Racing Form and they do not sell these items any longer. Very helpful on many different angles. There is not just one handicapping rule of thumb, but hundreds. This is still a thinking mans game. It is up to you to decide which way you want to play it. Flesh is flesh; but remember one thing, horses are not machines, they have an off day every once and awhile, especially the cheap claimers. GooD LucK, and may the horse be with you. And their off...... R.jimmy G. P.S. Stay away from chalk, unless you are playing exotics. Betting them flat has no logic in it at all.

This book is very interesting about how to bet and all the parameters. If you are interested in horse racing, this is an interesting book.

Book offers a good update on the first book....Bet With The Best. Jim Quinn, as always offers good tips.

Bet With the Best 2: Longshots

I am only about halfway through this book and have already spotted several new tips. More importantly, in reading Crist's chapter on Exotics and Value I stumbled on some big leaks in my multi-race betting. Well worth the money.

Really enjoyed this one

Pick this one up. You'll enjoy the read and be able to add some things to look for in your handicapping. The book obviously covers 'longshots'. Each author (quite a few from the DRF team) has an individual chapter and they each have a specific category that they write about when looking for a live longshot (examples: pedigree, foreign shippers, cutbacks in distance, etc.).
