Return to simpler times with this collection of more than 60 recipes for old-fashioned, budget-friendly meals. Book includes savory stovetop classics such as Pork Schnitzel and Corned Beef Hash, hearty one-dish meals like Tuna-Macaroni Casserole and Chicken and Dumpling Stew, plus side dishes and desserts.
This book does not have very many recipes. And there is literally no Depression Era recipe in it. Most all of them contain large quantities of meat, which was unheard of during the Depression. One is even leg of lamb, telling you to go to your butcher to have it specially prepared for you! Every recipe calls for a dozen or more ingredients as well.
I do not recommend this book at all, and I'm highly disappointed.
