Charming--the perfect gift for a pregnant friend!

A book for a newly pregnant mom-to-be to dream over, and one that's both handy and pretty. The pages are trimmed in pink for girl names and blue for boy names with cute color toy pictures sprinkled throughout. There are thousands and thousands of names listed, and each name is given with it's meanings (Colin, for example is from the "Celtic, strong and victorious" (p 160). Alternative spellings are noted. There is also an interesting listing of all the different popular names, starting with 1880 right up through the year 2000. It also includes a section on names from other countries--a popular Chinese boy name is "Ho" and another is "Manchu". And what about combining names, what works? There's a section to help you with that, too.
