pretty good

These books are great to use as a guideline. There isn't a WHOLE lot of info in them, nor are the activities provided really that fun for kids. For example, most of the lesson/activities involve giving a bit of info about something, then below the paragraph it asks questions, providing spots for the children to answer them. The questions are basic, just asking the exact same things that were told in the above paragraph. However, I do like these books, it gives me a lot of guidence in what topics I should be teaching my daughter. I would not use it by itself though, you need a lot of creativity to add to it...and maybe a quick look up online to get more info...but it is helpful.

Great supplemental material & nice for special education

This book has many great reproducible worksheets. Each one can be used as part of a discussion, then can be used to build coloring, cutting, and writing skills for younger students or students with disabilities. I highly recommend adding this book to your instructional library. I find this book highly useful when paired with read-aloud text for my students with multiple disabilities.

My kids loved it!

Appropriate for about grades 1-4. Includes numerous mini-units, on American history & geography. Includes hard to find material such as famous African-Americans.
