Berninis and Bellinis: Art Walks in Rome

Rome has so much art, antiquities, architecture, and so many masterpieces that a visitor cannot possibly see all of them, even in multiple visits. The author has been fortunate to visit Rome over a dozen times since 2001. During those visits, she has compiled a personal list of favorite sites and how to find and visit them.

This book includes ten curated walking tours of Rome, Italy that direct the reader to some of the author's favorites sites among all the artistic treasures that Rome has to offer. There are so many artists worthy of notice but the author has focused several walking tours on artworks by Bernini and Caravaggio.

Because touring is thirsty work, she's also included tips on nearby cafes because one may often be in need of a meal or at least a refreshing caffe or a bellini, depending on the time of day. Look for these in the sections boxed in Red and titled "Ready for a Pick-me-Up?"

And, for those who do have additional time to spend, personal favorite sites unrelated to the particular walking tour are also highlighted. Look for these in the sections boxed in Blue and titled "If You Have the Time....".
