A French girl's brush with death while trying to secure a cherished doll from a ledge surrounding the top of a bell tower leads to the revelation of an evil spell on the doll and the identity of its... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read this book for the first time when I was 12 years old, and not only did it keep me turning the pages late into the night, but kept me awake the rest of the night in trembling fear. It was well constructed, engaging and creepy. The resolution is satisfying for children and people who don't like loose ends. I see in the books details listed above that the reading level is marked as babys to preschoolers, which is obviously a mistake. You wouldn't read this to preschoolers unless you wanted them to be afriad of the dark and wake you every night with nightmares. I'd say its reading level was older children to young adults. Its scarier than anything from Goosebumps.

This novel is realy rare. It's tellin' us a story about friendship that never dies.I'd love to have a friend as Honorine or Sendy and especialy to have such an adventure as thay had. This is a story about a doll, the most beautiful doll in the world.I believe that Bella exists and I would like to find it. I'm a Serbian and my English is kind of bad,I can find out anything about Anne Syfret in Belgrade. Please, help me. I'd like to know is there another so powerful Anne's novel. In my opinion Dostoyevsky, Goethe and all the other "great" writers cannot even compare to Anne Syfret's writting.
