Ben Ford is not leading his best life. A college dropout, he moved with a girlfriend to Alabama, only to be dumped six months later for his lack of ambition. That same inertia keeps him in a job moving furniture instead of returning to Saint Louis, until he learns that an uncle has died and left him something in his will. Although that something is quite a significant amount of money, he unearths another mystery that could prove much more lucrative. It appears that his uncle had an object that Anna Dare, a local woman who claims to be a Prophet of God because she won the Powerball twice, desperately wants to get her hands on. Others seem to want it as well and are anxious to buy it or take it by force. His problem is to find It and get his big payday before someone finds it first or kills him.
