The desert season tests our love for the Lord and our commitment to ultimately fulfilling His purposes for our lives through years of waiting, hard changing, spiritual dearth, financial troubles and the seeming death of our vision. Maintaining our faith through these busy middle years of life is the key to our spiritual revival and the fulfillment of His calling on our lives in these last days. This book is for those who feel they have been on a shelf spiritually waiting for God to keep His promises to them and bring to pass the vision He gave them. I believe the Lord has many such persons set aside, as it were, that He is raising up the long, hard way in order that they might become great ministers at their unveiling. Because the desert season is so many years, it can be hard to perceive the divine purposes of God in the tedium in which He seems to have left us. My hope is that this book is able to help some see the hand of God over their lives as I relate my own trials in my own spiritual desert.
