Attorney Douglas Caddy takes the reader on an insider's tour of some of the most important historical events in the last seventy years. What makes his story unique is that he found himself thrust into these events without any action on his part. It was as if some cosmic power controlled his life. It all started in high school in New Orleans in the mid-1950's when he began working with famed retired FBI agent Guy Banister in combating organized crime in the Big Easy. Guess who was lurking nearby while this was going on? None other than Lee Harvey Oswald who also was a high school student in the city. So here was the future alleged killer of JFK living with walking distance of Banister who was to become his handler in the months before the assassination in 1963 and of Caddy who later came to represent E. Howard Hunt, a major figure in the JFK assassination. But none of the three in the mid 1950's knew what the future held. After high school Caddy was off to Georgetown University and while there began working with William F. Buckley in founding the modern Conservative Movement. Not long after graduating from New York University Law School he found himself immersed in the Watergate scandal after Hunt retained him for legal representation a few hours after the burglars were arrested. Before he could catch his breath from that scandal he was thrust in the midst of Koreagate due to the action of his college friend, Tongsun Park, who was accused of making illegal payoffs to dozens of members of Congress using Korean CIA money. Caddy escaped to Texas where he soon found himself being targeted for death for blowing the whistle in the Moody Foundation scandal. Then he found himself representing Billie Sol Estes who wanted to tell his story of being President Lyndon Johnson's Silent business partner and bagman in a case involving the murder of a number of people, including Josefa Johnson, LBJ's sister. At present time Caddy finds himself involved in the Trump/Russia scandal and in disclosing the secret Message to the American People about the Alien Presence that President Nixon left hidden inside the White House. His book is a quick ride on the wild side. Fasten your seat belt. Book jacket.
