This story unfolds over a number of novelettes. Each book follows the continuing story of Jake Hunter and Philip Michaelson. Jake Hunter, a slick divorce lawyer, needs a break from his busy life, after experiencing a health scare. Because of his job, he no longer believes in love, marriage, or relationships in general. That's until he meets the handsome, broody stranger Philip Michaelson. Phillip comes across as cynical, sarcastic and bitter, all traits that infuriate Jake to distraction.
