Being Messiah's Apprentice
40 REFLECTIONS ON REFLECTING THE PERFECT
"But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." Jesus
So how perfect are you?
Seems impossible right? Wrong. It only seems impossible to us because of our misunderstanding of the word perfect. This command by Jesus was and is totally possible and totally doable today. We just once again need to understand our role and our place as Talmidim (disciples).
When Jesus called his disciples to follow him, he was calling them into a master/apprentice relationship. The goal of the Talmidim was to look like, act like, and speak like their master in every way. They were called to be a reflection of their master
And this is good news because man was originally created to be a reflection of God. Man's original purpose was to be an image bearer of the Almighty. Mankind destroyed the image in sin, but the Messiah came to restore the image and once again mirror for us how we too can once again reflect God as His image bearers.
This devotional is intended to be an encouragement and challenge to all those who wish to reflect the perfections of our Heavenly Father to a world that so desperately needs to see Him.So join us as we take a journey of rediscovering our original purpose.
