His initial concept of Generosity was focused solely on one's financial commitment to the church's Budget. Campaign. His early writings illustrate this focus. Gradually his view expanded as he realized there is far more to Generosity than just responding to the offering plate as it is passed. Serving as Chairman of the Stewardship further broadened his vision. With two successful campaigns behind him, he completed three years on the Session and began to focus on an even broader understanding of Generosity.
