The commandment "Thou Shall Not Kill" and "Thou shall not steal" is repeated all over the entire world, however Patricia G better known as Mende on the streets and between the sheets will laugh in... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have never read any Marcus Spears books, but the title of the book captured my attention, then the break down on the back made me buy the book. I brought it yesterday and finished it last night, I couldn't put it down! Mende got just what she deserved - triflin whore! If you didn't read the first episode, don't worry you won't be lost - get this book today!!

I am from the same hometown as Marcus Spears, and I know and relate to the things that he talk about in his first book, Payback's a Bitch. Because of everything that was going on back home, growing up around the corner from the Infamous Father Panik Village that he talks about in the book and all the negativity that was going on in the hood, I left, joined the military and got out of there quick. I may not have been one of the safest moves that I ever made, but I can say that it was the smartest. Everytime that I come home, the same pepole that I grew up with are still doing the same things that they were doing when I left. I commend Marcus greatly for writing this book and exposing the life that we all endured coming up in the mean streets of Bridgeport, and letting them all know that it's a lot that we endured in our lives growing up there.

I read Episode I in this series (PayBack's A Bitch) a while ago, I had the original cover. Although I liked the book I felt that Mr. Spears didn't give us enough of The Woman Hood. But I guess episode I provided the background information because in episode II Mr. Spears has stepped his game up with the grimiest caucasian character found between the pages of an urban book, Mende. Mende's desires for black men are so strong that she's altered her lips, booty and breasts in order to compete with the sistahs and ensure that she'll be able to snare her some thug love. But when Mende decides to hook up with Riva to steal The Woman Hood's stash she's bitten off way more than she can chew. Mende was sooooo off the hook that I forgot all about the characters from episode I that I wanted updates on and even forgot all about The Woman Hood clique. Mr. Spears even turned up the temperature with this one because the sex scenes are like .......WHOA!!!! Behold A Pale Whore has guaranteed that I'll purchase all the books in this series.
Temperature is rising... A HOT ONE!

To start with I was very impressed with how Marcus Spears stepped up his writing game. I mean I liked his first book Payback's a Bitch, but Behold A Pale Whore went way beyond "like" for me. I loved it! Especially the way Marcus tied in the characters from Payback. The story line was wild because I actually know a white chick with butt implants...anyway Behold A Pale whore will definetly set a new trend in hip hop lit and literature period! Out of the 5 fiction novels I read in 2005, Behold A Pale Whore was the best one by far.
