Behind: Una vita alle spalle [Italian]

Nel 2010 nasce Aurora e due anni dopo Mia. Da quel momento l'interesse per la fotografia si concentra sulle due "principesse" e su quello che fanno, scoprono, osservano e vedono ogni giorno. Quale soggetto fotografico migliore ed affascinante delle proprie figlie? Da qui nasce l'idea del progetto "Behind - Una vita alle spalle". Inizia, quindi, un nuovo viaggio fotografico che vede coinvolti un pap? e le sue due figlie e che spero possa durare pi? tempo possibile. Oltre dieci anni di fotografie scattate solo con il cellulare. Oltre seicento scatti digitali in formato quadrato. La scelta delle immagini da inserire in questo libro/racconto fotografico non ? stata facile, perennemente in bilico tra il ricordo personale ed emotivo e l'aspetto artistico che ogni foto dovrebbe avere. Tra questi criteri di scelta ho dovuto selezionarne un numero esiguo tralasciando e mettendo da parte, il pi? delle volte, l'aspetto personale per il secondo, quello artistico e di composizione dell'immagine. Un grosso aiuto nella valutazione delle fotografie mi ? stato dato dal fotografo professionista Marco Bottani, www.ibot.it, con il quale ho collaborato in diverse iniziative e lavori fotografici. Un percorso che ha l'intento di seguire, a distanza e con discrezione, le esperienze che la vita offre ad Aurora e Mia. Con la "giusta" misura di sicurezza senza interferire direttamente sulle emozioni delle bambine ma lasciando loro l'onere e l'onore del sentiero scelto. Seguire le loro passioni, non anticiparle, non tracciare il percorso ma rimanere alle spalle per osservarle...

In 2010 Aurora was born and two years later Mia. From that moment the interest in photography focuses on the two "princesses" and on what they do, discover, observe and see every day. What better and more fascinating photographic subject than one's own daughters? Hence the idea of the "Behind - A life behind" project. Thus begins a new photographic journey involving a father and his two daughters and which I hope will last as long as possible. Over ten years of photographs taken only with a mobile phone. Over six hundred digital shots in square format. Choosing the images to include in this photographic book/story was not easy, perpetually poised between personal and emotional memory and the artistic aspect that each photo should have. Among these selection criteria I had to select a small number, leaving out and setting aside, most of the time, the personal aspect for the second one, the artistic one and the composition of the image. A great help in the evaluation of the photographs was given to me by the professional photographer Marco Bottani, www.ibot.it, with whom I collaborated in various initiatives and photographic works. A path that has the intention of following, remotely and discreetly, the experiences that life offers to Aurora and Mia. With the "right" safety measure without directly interfering with the emotions of the girls but leaving them the burden and the honor of the chosen path. Follow their passions, don't anticipate them, don't trace the path but stay behind to observe them...
