Behind His Smile

By R Wheeler

Irys Mae has always dreamed of falling in love like in a perfect romance novel. So when the devilishly handsome Holdyn Thomas asks her on a date from the pool deck, the sun setting behind him, the Georgia palm trees swaying in the breeze, this shy author is giddy at the very thought. But when their date takes an ugly turn, Irys is left second guessing whether or not Holdyn will be the white knight in her fairy tale. Is there something else, something more dangerous lying behind his charming smile? She seeks advice from Parker Davis, her new friend and confidant, with a smile that made her feel like she was the most important person in the room. But Parker begins to disappear, and trips over his story. Is this fellow author and first new friend Irys has made in years hiding something behind his caring smile?
