Behind Closed Doors - The Book

This book came about in 2012. I was in the midst of chairing Opera Ball and needed a distraction. I created 19 18?x18?x8? miniature scenes, also known as ?room boxes, ? Each of these ?rooms? is unique and has a story to tell. They reside adjacent to our living room in Honolulu and garner much attention and comments. In 2018 one of my children suggested that I write about who dwells within each ?room.? Thus, began the ?Behind Closed Doors? short story series. The project took over two years. In the end, I wrote 19 individual stories that totaled 285 pages, 53,715 words and went through reams of paper. I created over 173 characters each has distinct occupations, represents a wide spectrum of society and has a myriad of things going on behind their closed doors When the project was complete, I decided to create one book with all 19 stories.
