Begging for a Handout in the Streets

Serious and serious questions face this system that is leaving alarming social and economic indicators in the world. These perverse inequities are manifested in the deterioration of life in the region, which has become the most inequitable in the world. The pandemic exacerbates this behavior, with twice as many deaths as in developed countries. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, fearsome agents and gendarmes of this status quo, and makers of this neoliberal savagery, are responsible for its vertical imposition and an alarming plundering of the wealth of our peoples through large voracious transnationals, leaving hunger and misery in our poor countries. The World Bank was also a shareholder of the large transnational mining company Yanacocha, in Cajamarca, which is the only region in the first place of poverty and is the one that produces the most gold in the country and Latin America. We do not understand and it is, dramatically, perverse to sow hunger and die of hunger in a world where almost twice as much food is produced as is consumed. Hunger was created by capitalism.
