Before You Were Here

Before You Were Here was inspired by a poem I wrote for my unborn daughter, Khyrie. I wanted to share with her all the thoughts, concerns, and preparations I made while anxiously awaiting her arrival. I never imagined the doctors would tell me Khyrie had no heartbeat and that my daughter was gone.

I would never get to share my poem with my sweet girl, so I was inspired to turn it into a book that would speak to other mothers who have endured the loss of a child. I want to help them find hope in their journey to motherhood. I pray that this book will provide a gentle way to help them discuss the loss of a child with family so that everyone can begin the journey toward healing.

Before You Were Here is my way of celebrating my daughter's memory, and I encourage other women who have experienced this unexpected loss to do the same for their sons or daughters.

I want you all to know that there are several paths to motherhood. Let faith lead you to the path destined for you and never be afraid to share your story because it can be a blessing to so many other women!
