Good read. I liked it.

I’m enjoying the amount of detail thrown at me as I’m reading; how she travels from place to place searching for clues on missing persons, how she already won Stoney over with her confident demeanor, the dry but infectious humor. What I love so far is grumpy but lovable Stoney. I can definitely relate to him because I know I can come across as cold since I don’t really smile but once you get to know me, I’m actually a decent person. I can already tell that Viv and Stoney are going to act as parental figures towards Frankie…hopefully. I’m hoping because the immediate acceptance I vibed between Frankie and Viv upon their first meeting had me wondering if this was going to be a loving, wholesome family situation. Something happens later on that made me wonder if she really did it. Fortunately, I’m still reading which is a sign at how good this book is. Aside from that, I like how you get a grasp at how dangerous alcoholism can be.

Not My Taste

The book is too long, not interesting my first by this author I won't try another

Fun read.

This book kept me thoroughly invested. Will definitely be continuing the series

Good but could have gotten to the ending quicker

I really liked how the book started and went forward but it could have been probably 75 pages shorter if they had gotten to the final conclusion sooner. I was tempted to skip ahead just to find out the plot ending.

Before She Disappeared is a great summer read

Frankie Elkin was a relatable, crazy, survivor on a mission. The plot twist enhanced my enjoyment of this mystery novel. It was my first Lisa Gardner novel, now I'm looking for more.
