Bede's World looks at Bede's life as a youth, or teenager, and contains events which may or may not have taken place. It focuses on his time at Wearmouth. Both it and Jarrow jealously claim Bede as their own. I think each place was equally important to Bede. I have imagined that he travelled to Rome. Although there is no evidence he did, we know both Benet and Ceolfrith made numerous journeys to Rome so why not Bede? This is the sequel to Bede's Well, a fictional account of Bede's boyhood, and is the prequel to Bede's World a novel about Bede as a monk and the importance of the Codex Amiatinus.
