When the owner of a bed-and-breakfast hires private detective Confidence Tate to investigate several thefts, Connie goes undercover to find out who's been making off with historical and collector's items from the inn. While she and her right-hand man, former rapper Jay-Ray, try to solve the mystery using their intuition, technology and investigative skills, she meets a memorable cast of characters/suspects who populate the possibly-haunted inn during Octoberfest in Missouri wine country.
