An elderly divorced man awakens in the middle of a steamy Floridian summer night thinking about Christmas. Not some cheery holiday from deep in his past, or any remembered celebration with family, friends or lovers. It's the troubling prospect of Christmas future that has snatched away the gift of sleep.
The realization he would be alone on that most festive holiday for the first time in his life. Defying all advice and unable to return to sleep he opens his cell phone to Facebook. Scrolling through the postings for sexual aids, lawn care, and the achievements of distant acquaintances he comes across an ad for 'Christmas in Paris. Small group travel' and clicks the link. What he has innocently done is set in motion what will become a Parisian holiday adventure with him, ten single women, the fulfillment of dreams, and the realization that gifts come in many, many forms.
