Becoming Sasha Again is a Southern coming-of-age and emotional drama that follows Sasha Weaver, a bright, sheltered African American girl growing up in rural Northampton County, North Carolina, during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Raised by her strict but loving mother, Nora, Sasha longs for freedom - not realizing that the kind of freedom she seeks can come at a devastating price.
Through a series of powerful, vividly human events, Sasha's journey moves from innocence and control, to love and abuse, and finally to self-liberation and healing.
