While analyzing issues such as rights, equality, freedom, responsibility, taxation and more, Rogers asks what kind of social and governmental structures are needed if we are to be a society of equals, where justice is available to all. His intention is not to advocate one specific kind of social structure or government, but to argue that given the uniqueness of humanity, there are certain things that must be true of our social and governmental structures if we are to be happy and able to achieve our potential. Because We Are Self-determined is a book worth reading.
