Because I Love You: My DTS Story

I was a city girl accustomed to the convenience of metropolitan life, a gourmet who desires delicious and delectable delights, a luxury lover, and an ordinary Christian. I went on overseas medical missions for 5 nights and 6 days once every 1-2 years. I thought this was enough as a Christian for the kingdom of the Lord, and I was living a satisfying church life. Then, I happened to read Pilgrim's Progress (Edited by C.J. Lovik, Illustrated by Mike Wimmer). This book and the sermons during the New Year's Special Early Morning Service woke up my daily life. I mustered up the courage to quit my job and set out for DTS with my husband. However, community life in South Africa was beyond my imagination. Then one day I heard the whispering voice of God for the first time in my life. "Because I love you, I brought you on this trip." I successfully completed the DTS. And following the voice of God, I started a mission trip with my husband. Through the journeys of Africa, Europe, Israel, and the United States, I came to know the love of a kind and gentle God. This was a turning point in my life. And my new journey begins.
