About the AuthorIsis Jenkins is more than a pastor and grief counselor-she is a survivor, a truth-teller, and a passionate voice for healing. As co-founder of Sharing Our Souls with KARE Ministries, she has dedicated her life to walking with others through some of their darkest seasons, offering faith, empathy, and hope.BEautifully Bold is her sixth book, following her acclaimed grief resources Beyond the Five Stages of Grief - A Reality Check, the companion self-care workbook, and the Lolu's Adventures children's series-a 3-part series of gentle, colorful picture books that help kids navigate grief with love and light.
Born in the small town of Hollywood, South Carolina, Isis's journey has been anything but small. From a childhood marked by trauma to a life rebuilt through resilience and grace, she now serves as a chaplain at Lexington Medical Center. She is currently completing her certification as a grief counselor.
With a Master of Arts in Chaplaincy from Columbia International University and a background in business management, Isis combines spiritual insight with practical wisdom. But her greatest roles are that of mother and grandmother-titles that reflect the love, strength, and purpose she pours into everything she does. She believes healing is possible when we speak our truth and embrace the power of community. Her message is simple but profound: no matter what you've been through, you are still worthy of love, still called for a purpose, and still BEautifully Bold .
