Beatrice and the London Bus

Once upon a time, in a not so faraway land - London - nine-year-old Beatrice had a very big dream: she wanted to be a bus driver. Not a princess, not a ballerina-a bus driver. But her mum is a dream-flusher, quick to wash away every hope and fancy.

One day, Beatrice spots a model of a red Routemaster bus in a shop window. She's certain it holds magic, certain it could grow into a real London bus she might drive herself. She wishes and wishes...

And then something extraordinary happens. On the streets of London, Beatrice meets a bus that talks-a bus only special dreamers can hear. And Beatrice is one of them.

Has her wish come true at last? Has she somehow become a wizard, even though her dream was never wizardry at all? Beatrice doubts it-she isn't nearly tall enough to be a wizard. Maybe it's just a dream. Or maybe it's something even better.
