The Beatitudes: Developing Spiritual Character

The book is fine, but it is not what I thought it was. I was looking for more content than a question format. He raised a lot of questions but didn't give much information. Perhaps I misunderstood the originalpurpose. However, the questions are helpful and provides application. The teacher or leader would have to "dig" from several other sources to find the answers to the questions. At least the study would help the student relate the passage to his life (and hopefully the leader would have other sources from which to draw the content.)

Jesus Christ, Teacher, Servant and Saviour

As always a Bible Study by John W.R. Stoot is an excellent study of the scriptures. I will use this as an in-depth personal study of Jesus Christ. There are addition resources for my study, however,this book and various Bible translations will form the heart of my study. The book challanges you to look at the teachings, life, and ministry of Jesus Christ. This study should allow you to have a greater knowledge of Jesus Christ, His life and ministry. The Bibical truths revealed should then be applied to our personal life. Wayne Bumgardner

Good Small Group Questions

I was looking for a book that would require some Bible reading and alot of discussion for leading a Sunday School Class. With a little adaptation of the questions and commentary to fit our particular audience; this book has been really useful at it gets the class to think and talk about our Christian character. The questions are more suited to a personal, adult Bible reading and study, but the concepts and questions can be modified or reworded to different situations. I recommend this book.
