I've been reading this book to my toddler-age twins off and on for a year now, and they still get such a kick out of it. (Of course, acting it out along with bean enhances the entertainment factor.) The pictures and the story line are sweet and simple, and perfect for early readers.

When we first got this book I was disappointed - a cat chasing a mouse, with two words per page (bean runs, bean looks, etc.). But my 10 month old has taken a liking to it - she looks at the pictures excitedly when we read it.
