Beanie Finds Her Brave

By Angela Moreno

Beanie Finds Her Brave is a heartwarming children's story about a little dog whose big bark hides an even bigger fear.

To the other dogs at the park, Beanie can seem loud and unfriendly. But underneath her tough exterior is a small, overwhelmed pup who desperately wants what everyone else has, friendship and a place to belong.

Everything begins to change when Beanie meets Ollie, a gentle new friend who doesn't judge her barking or rush her when she's afraid. With patience, understanding, and a little courage, Beanie slowly discovers that the world isn't quite as scary when you don't have to face it alone.

As her circle of friends grows to include Jonny the Turtle, Debbie the Squirrel, and others at the park, Beanie learns an important lesson: sometimes the behaviors that look like meanness are really fear, and a little kindness can give a scared heart the courage to try again.

A tender story about anxiety, friendship, empathy, and belonging, Beanie Finds Her Brave reminds children to look beyond someone's behavior and wonder what they might be feeling inside.
