In Northeastern Finland, a solitary summer house known as Rantakukka (Beach Flower) Cottage sits in a forest next to a large lake. The cottage is some 300 years old and has been in the same family for all its existence, being passed down from generation to generation. The new owners are very much an urban couple who are used to the comfort and sheer convenience of busy, modern-day city life in Helsinki, which is in stark contrast to the tranquility of deep rural living in Finland.
