Be What You Want To Be

BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE

is a story about a boy considered to be very dull in his early years of education. His early life portrayed an ugly situation that does not seem to have a remedy, and that of his class teacher, Mr. Jacob, whose slogan is the title of the book. Though a very good teacher and full of motivation to his students, Mr. Jacob seemed not to have a bigger dream of becoming, at least, what he had tried to inculcate into his own students - becoming what he wanted to be.

Kunle, the main character, who was nick-named "cool head"- a taunting perversion of his name as a result of his
very poor performance in school - is a type of student many consider as being dull and looked upon as unable to amount to anything good in the future. Motivated by his teacher's slogan 'Be What You Want To Be', Kunde was able, with time, to beat all odds, fight through every obstacle, and become what he really wanted to be instead of what unfavourable circumstances would have turned him into.

Kunle's teacher, Mr. Jacob, who is loved by his students, is a type of the many teachers we have in many societies, whose efforts have successfully made their former pupils and students well-to-do leaders of today, but who themselves, seem not to have the dream of evolving into an improved version of what they have been for years. Mr. Jacob's coming in contact with his former student, Mr. Kunle many years after, and the incredible positive changes he saw on him, coupled with Kunle's words letting him know that his own success today had been based on motivation from his slogan "Be What You Want To Be', got awakened to the reality of his own long-time slogan and got inspired into the pursuit of better and greater status.

This book seeks to impress the undeniable fact that success or failure are habits and choices made from early years, and motivate pupils, students and teachers into understanding that anyone can be what he/she wants to be.
A 'Kunle' with a made up mind, was not a dullard after all; and teachers are not really meant to train people into becoming great while they themselves remain otherwise, living to tell people how they had contributed to the education and success of former students who are now successful.

BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE shows a determined 'Kunle' changing his status and becoming a successful man, and also
becoming instrumental to the motivation of his former teacher, who later made up his mind to become what he wanted to be. This book triggers off the reader's spirit - student or teacher - into dreaming; believing in the dream; and becoming it.

You will enjoy this, I promise
