The beach house isn't what I expected - seems dirty. Looks like they purchased everything at Goodwill. Are these cockroaches? Hope not. Trixie likes it here. She has green grass. It's a gift to her bleeding sore paws. Trixie stopped to pee five times on the soft lawn. It's cool here on the coast - a relief from the hot days in Sacramento. Trixie gets to wear her princess fur jacket that covers her bald patches. She seems to feel beautiful again. Groovy is smitten by her. Together they are lying on the sofa, spooning. It's the first time they are physically close. Trixie may is very brave. She has a lot of love to share still. She's learning patience, as I am. She's learning to trust, as I am. The conditions of the inside of her body are being manifested in her skin and most of her fur is missing. Trixie May has rashes all over her frail body and eyes that are round and questioning. They seem to constantly plea for relief from the pain. Yet she is beautiful. She has the manner of a princess and of course, she is a princess, indeed. She seems to love her time here with me to just be, even though she can no longer go on walks. Four veterinarians. So many tests. Still no diagnosis for her condition. I learned from Trixie that her time here may not be long, and that we have NOW, so let's be in the moment and live for the time we have together...Not dwell on the inevitable "loss", but appreciate and make the most of our NOW. My priorities have changed. NOW is a gift. So here we are, sitting on the chaise lounge, wrapped in blankets at the quiet quaint cottage by the sea. Half dozen clients to get back to...emails yet unchecked...projects left dangling. No longer are they a threat to my NOW. I am where I am supposed to be in this time space reality, with my beautiful Princess Trixie May. And we are content to work on our book.We all have a book within. Each of us has a story to tell. For me, it's the animals that have a story to tell through me...
